HISTORICAL HERITAGE
"Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but bubbles..."
Project Baseline visits underwater cultural heritage sites for the purpose of aiding scientific study and preservation. We leave wrecks and submerged ruins untouched and receive permission to dive on designated sites. We comply with the UNESCO Code of Ethics for Underwater Cultural Heritage sites and dive by the mantra "take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but bubbles."
What
What is Project Baseline Doing?
Collaborating
with archeologists to document these sites adds to our understanding of
history and helps organizations justify the need for protections.
Collaborating with marine biologists helps us to understand how
shipwrecks become artificial reefs and how they help or harm natural
ecosystems. Learn More
