Baseline Twente
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Groene Heuvels is a popular diving and recreational lake in Beuningen, managed by Leisurelands. Known for its easy access points, diverse aquatic life, and excellent training opportunities, it attracts both recreational and technical divers.
Through this Project Baseline initiative, we monitor underwater visibility over time. By systematically collecting and sharing data, we aim to contribute to the preservation and protection of this unique diving environment.
Our approach is inspired by the standards of Global Underwater Explorers (GUE): teamwork, precision, and consistent methodologies. This ensures reliable and comparable information that is not only valuable locally, but also aligns with a global network of water quality and conservation projects.
In short: this project makes the underwater developments of the Groene Heuvels visible, while building awareness and knowledge for current and future generations of divers.
HOW TO SUBMIT DATA
There are two ways to submit data to the Project Baseline database. You can submit data for existing projects, and you can submit data for projects that are not currently hosted (ad-hoc) in the database.
