The Irish, as one ballad has it, 'gave us our songs to sing', and the Australian folk music scene provides plenty of evidence of what that genre owes to Ireland. Locals who had been detained could expect to have their genitals crushed by guards’ hands, or to be forced to sit naked on a metal pole; their weight forcing it into their anus. They were given jobs that were thought to be too unsafe for blacks to carry out because the loss of a slave was an out of pocket expense (Kinsella, 2002).

Swift became an active figure of the Dublin society and politics becoming a blunt critic in efforts of improving Ireland. Ireland has been inhabited for about 9,000 years according to archaeological studies (see Prehistoric Ireland ). I described in outline the town Irish, high and low, [making, however, many honourable and required exceptions] in my speech at Wexford, in May 1865. This was largely because of how the English treated them. The writer attempts to show that the Jungle Book is not just a combination of stories for children.
